Max Siegel, the CEO of USA Track & Field and Owner of Rev Racing, Speaks About Black History Month

This February during Black History Month, we’re making it a priority to spotlight our African-American partners and employees that are making a difference! Max Siegel, the CEO of USA Track & Field and Owner of Rev Racing, has had a long and distinguished career that has taken him all over the world representing elite athletes and creating platforms for female and minority athletes to excel at the top level of their respective sports.

Max became the fourth CEO of USA Track & Field in 2012 and has made a major impact over the last decade. He has led USATF to financial growth and programmatic evolution that are unprecedented in the Olympic family. Siegel has generated over $500M in revenue, expanded the USATF annual budget, successfully bid for the U.S. to host the 2021 IAAF World Outdoor Championships, and secured a historic contract with Nike.

As the owner of Rev Racing since 2010, Siegel has led NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program to bring more multicultural and female talent to the sport, advancing it from a fledging effort into a competitive juggernaut on the racetrack. Siegel has helped start the career of Bubba Wallace, who became the first African American driver in 50 years to win in one of NASCAR's National series. He continues to push efforts forward in the motorsports industry, influencing and impacting the entire landscape of the sport. He most recently expanded into the National Series with Cuban-American driver Nick Sanchez who will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for Rev Racing in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Group 1001 is proud to partner with Max and Rev Racing to encourage continued diversity in NASCAR.
